We found Jenny through her exceptionally curated and bright Instagram account while looking for an illustrator for one of our super-lead 2019 titles, Welcome To Your Period. This is a modern, funny and intersectional guide to menstruation for pre-teens and teens. Jenny’s illustrations suited this title perfectly. Her relatable and real illustrations of different body types and femininity are an asset to this title, and I think will be a huge part of its success. Who doesn’t love underwear with smiley faces?

Jenny tackled the huge amount of work in a very short time frame – she was open to changes and feedback, and always responded with a smile. She brought her personality and a keen eye for design to the project. She took direction well, was happy to roll with the brief. She has a great understanding of colour, space, tone and hierarchy. She immediately understood the audience, and was very enthusiastic.

She also was happy to supply layered files, which helps immensely from a design standpoint.

Personally I found Jenny to be lovely, motivated and reliable. Her speed, attention to detail, and responsiveness was commendable. Her work is really representative of global trends and things teens love.
